Basket Weave
One of the most famous embossings in motor car history: the Mercedes Basket Weave.
In this embossing the ‘pipes’ (sewn stripes of the seat) are imprinted with the so-called ‘basket weave’. In-between the imprinted areas there are 1.5 cm wide stripes that are, depending on the car model, finished with or without a punched perforation.
